Avis sweeps the board at The British Travel Awards 2007

Avis has won four prestigious accolades at this year’s British Travel Awards, held on 15th November, at the World Travel Market’s closing ceremony.

Avis was named Best Business Car Hire Company, Favourite Business Car Hire, Best Leisure Car Hire Company and Favourite Leisure Car Hire during Thursday’s glittering gala dinner at Battersea Evolution.

“These awards mean a great deal to us because they are voted for by both our travel industry peers and the consumer,” says Daniel McCarthy, Commercial Director, Avis UK.

“The British Travel Awards are highly regarded and we are honoured to be included amongst the best travel companies in the UK. Over the last couple of years we have paid particular attention to improving our customer service and making the car hire process as simple as possible. It’s great that all our efforts have been recognised.”

Avis has received 14 awards this year, across the travel, fleet, consumer and customer service industries. The company will continue to strive for service excellence in 2008 and will further focus on its environmental efforts and user-friendly service.
